You’ll need a router that lets you setup a vpn at the router itself.
Look up tutorials on youtube. DNS will normally work for streaming services. But for gaming and such will need to have ps5 run through a computer VPN’d or VPN router
If you have a PC, can search: share PC VPN to console
- This may require USB ethernet adapter if your PC don’t have ethernet + Wifi, or 2 ethernet ports.
trying to use vpn through pc to PS5 to download a couple games. looked on web found 2 sets of instructions…both telling me to do same thing change adaptor settings and set up lan on ps5 but not working!!

If I buy a dongle does it work too? or it should have inbuilt WiFi?
USB ethernet and built in ethernet works for connecting console to PC. The idea is to have console connect to PC using eithernet. Set PS4/PS5 network settings to wired LAN.
Yes PC can connect to internet using built in Wifi, or wifi USB dongle, or another ethernet cable. Which can use VPN software and internet connection sharing. I don’t have much experience with using VPN. Search: PC VPN to console.
