How to reduce lag from Vietnamese server in America?

I just moved to Cali for a while now but my ping is always consistently 200 ms, is there a way to reduce this?

Why don’t you switch to the NA server then? The viet server is too far away. It takes time for all that data to travel big distances.

Dùng NordVPN chỉnh location về HongKong #284, 285, 286,#287,#288,#289, ping sẽ về dưới 200

When my Vietnamese friend first moved to Europe, he tried using VPN to reduce the lag so he can play AoV. Unfortunately VPNs will rarely help with high pings caused by geographical distances, because the distance between

”you → the game server in VN”

and

“you → a VPN server between the US and VN → the game server in VN”

is still the same, so in most cases VPNs will only help a little or not at all, if not somehow even increasing the ping.

My friend found direct ethernet connection to his phone, along with just having stronger connection in general helped, but for his case the ping was still not low enough to play the game normally. You can try it to see if it helps you.

Another option is playing in the Level Infinite server where you’re at, perhaps find some VNmese who also play AoV to smurf with. That’s what my friend did after playing on the VN server didn’t work out.

There’s no such way. It would be more fun experience for you to play in NA server with smooth ping/ms.

because i don’t wanna start all over and my viet server has too much stuff i don’t wanna lose

Maybe the VPN only secure your data, change server location and doesnt help with your ping

Hmmm, how about move there then? Since you would rather face 999 ms than to switch back to NA. I swear though, why did u join vietnamese server in first place? I guess common sense isnt so common :frowning:

If you back up your account you won’t lose it. Just make another account with the NA version of the app. I have a friend who moved to America from Vietnam and she made another account.

dude i used to live in Vietnam since birth for 18 years before i went here

Well, you aren’t in vietnam anymore sadly, so either put up with the lag (which i cant) or switch back to NA. Though it would be pretty rough, losing everything.
