I’ve been using the Windows client without issues.
Guys sorry I found the fix on the web and it helped me .
i don’t trust it personally just because of how Microsoft has been trying to learn more and more about you over the years. they might keep logs and stuff so im just gonna stick with PIA
How to fix this any idea ?
know it but I don’t do much anonymous things on my PC
vpn isn’t all about anonymity. u might’ve been watching too much mr. robot stuff
They don’t keep logs about YOU, the logs are about program crashes and stuff. Every os does it. Even ubuntu.
Edit: I didn’t realize Windows offers the ability to be a VPN server.
Have you tried reinstalling your nic? What type of VPN connection is it?
uninstalled all the network adapters in the Device manager and reinstalled it again
Maybe you aren’t paying attention at all.
yes that solved my issue
maybe. but your point being?
Maybe you aren’t paying attention at all.
hmmm let’s see. since we’re talking about attention - somebody posts about vpn, talks about some issues. maybe he just needs to be in the same broadcast domain with another device. perhaps another computer. which, btw a vpn is an excellent tool for. but nary a word about anonymity. yet here i am - the one who doesn’t pay attention.
so tell me. which part of this whole ordeal do i need to pay attention to? what am i missing?
Like Google, Apple, Dell and a thousand other corporations, Microsoft is also in the data collection business now with the advent of Windows 10 as company policy. They may claim it’s only for issues related to it’s products but it is not. They collect all info from all their “products” for targeted advertising. While Windows as an OS is a fine product, it is their only one where people can shut off those over 375 IP addresses to MS it communicates on every day. No one else has figured out how to shut off in their other apps yet including their VPN. I have all mine shut off including Updates for which I use WSUS.
That’s what you were missing.
