I only trust it more than a result no VPN setup. Google already has access to your phone if you’re that conspiratorial in assuming they want to watch everything. They don’t need a VPN to get between you and your traffic. They are your OS already
On the day they said it’ll stop working that’s when it did but like late in the afternoon. For some it was 1st thing in the morning.

The Google One App has now removed the VPN from the app. There is no option for it anymore and it refuses to connect.
It’s good to have since I didn’t wanted to buy a VPN and I already have Google one and it came with it. So I figured it’s nice to have and save some money but sadly I had to buy a VPN instead
