I setup a 440 lab device and was working on getting GlobalProtect VPN working. The app on my MacBook constantly disappears. There isn’t a menu bar icon, and if I re-open the app nothing happens. I have to force quit the app in activity monitor, then it seems to auto launch and give me the option to try and connect.
Has anyone else ran into this?
Do you have a MacBook with the camera notch? Do you have a lot of icons in the menu bar filling up the space from the notch to the right edge of your screen?
If that’s the case, the icon might just be hiding “behind” the notch. You can hold the command key, click on one of the existing icons, and drag it to the left “behind” the notch, and you should see it disappear, and another icon show up. Repeat this process until the GlobalProtect icon appears.
Ugh…… 
…. That was it. There literally was enough room for more icons though. I can’t believe after 3 years Apple still hasn’t done anything to automatically deal with icons behind the notch.
I do but it looks like there should be room for at least. 1-2 more icons before it goes behind the notch. Suppose it can’t hurt to double check though.
