Does ProtonVPN support internet speeds of 1Gbps?

Before I upgrade my internet connection, I’d like to know if ProtonVPN can utilise a 1Gbps internet download speed and a 50Mbps upload speed? I’m on the Visionary plan if that makes a difference.

Yes. This is explicitly mentioned on their site.

I have a 1GBps internet connection and on the servers they have listed on their site that are 10GBps servers, I can usually get about 850-880Mbps down on Wireguard (unless the server is under heavy load). I’d recommend using Wireguard for any connection over 500Mbps.

In my case on Windows it gets easily to 800Mbps or 900Mpbs, on linux most of the time is below 300Mbps. I’m on the Plus plan.

Sure thing. Keep in mind that capacity and distance from server will affect these speeds. I have gigabit fiber and see ~20% slower speeds when connecting to a popular, nearby server.
