If your paying for something like an iptv service , or downloading service , you need a VPN .
If you just have jailbroken firestick , and are not paying for illegal services, you don’t need a VPN .
Have had a jailbroken fire-stick since late 2017 . No vpn . using Bee TV , cinema HD , cyberflix , live net tv , etc.

I prefer to raw dog the internet. No protection, ever. Just doesn’t feel natural.

Get a VPN and add is on your router if it has it. If your router doesnt support it, look into getting a router that does. If that is not feasible, install vpn on device level but vpn providers often have a device limit. I would also recomend you put the date of your VPN running out on your calendar, this will mitigate the headache later of trying to figure out why your internet has gone down when it runs out.

Vpn is for your protection. It blocks your modems serial number from prying eyes. Some iptv services require a vpn in order to work properly. However…vpn not required to operate most apps…it will protect you.
