I am currently residing in Turkey with my family and the store prices are significantly cheaper here due to no adjustment for inflation. Gaijins policy states under Store policy 1.3:
1.3. Using a VPN or any other circumventing technology to defraud or deceive your current location is strictly prohibited and leads to a material breach of this Store Policy and the Terms and Conditions. In case of such a breach, Gaijin reserves the right to suspend or delete the Account of the User.
Now I am not using a VPN or any other technology, I am physically in Turkey right now using lira for any and all other purchases, so I should be fine changing my current location of residency to Turkey right? Or did I overlook anything?
contact support and ask them.
Take a pic of yourself, your account and a famous turkey landmark behind you. Would be the funniest reply to a ticket if you do get banned
If they can make money on you from repurchase vechicles - they will do. This company is not pro consumer.
Are you living in Turkey or just visiting?
If you’re physically in the country I don’t see how they could refuse
Just dont buy anything unless you’re gonna be in turkey a while
If you do this, at least hold up a newspaper for that date in the picture.
I know but on what legal basis?
Visiting family. But there is no mention of visits being an exception in they’re policy and since 1.3 is the only relevant thing I can find I would conclude that because I’m not using any technology to deceive them it should be legal.
Regional prices in our shop are availabe if you regularly live in that country and use bank cards, that are issued to this country (with a local currency bank account). If you still can’t see prices for your region, you are probably logging into the account via a VPN or using turbo mode in your browser. If the problem persists, please contact Customer support.
