I constantly get this error
Connection error
net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED
Does this happen to anybody else? The Win app works fine, but the chrome extension has given me this error most of the time since the last few weeks.
Firefox is broken too. Does this constantly
Don’t use it. Use split tunneling instead with one browser set to use the VPN and one not.
i have exact same issue opened multiple tickets nothing has been done. whats going on u/PIASupport
This is constantly happening the past week for me. I have to keep switching VPN locations until I see the VPN IP address change, then it works fine. But it’s getting ridiculous cause I have to change VPN location like 2+ times an hour and many of the USA locations just seem down. Just not sure what is going on with it. I really like the chrome extension when it works though, might need to reinstall it.

chrome extension still a joke. I’ll try out Brave Browser. Highly doubt I’ll renew PIA if they can’t even seem to get this fixed and it’s over 3 months later
seems like removing the plugin from chrome and re-installing it helps.

I can’t even get this to work, unless I set it to use non-PIA DNS. 
This fixed it for me, after the reinstall of the extension connecting still doesn’t show my “VPN IP” when it connects but it is connecting successfully and well. I will see how long it works for, will update if it acts up. Thanks.

Wireguard or OpenVPN?
Works for me on macOS, windows, and iOS. What exactly are you doing when trying to use split tunnel?
It’s working for me using PIA DNS, so I’d first try removing PIA entirely and reinstall it.
