China: What does it mean if OpenVPN has few servers but Stealthmode works without issue?
I’m just gonna copy this reply from another redditor in the post before this:
official announcement: “Currently, there is increased censorship due to political meetings and unfortunately not all VPN protocols work at this time. If one VPN protocol is not working, please try another one. We are working intensively on bringing all services back to normal, but as of now we have no ETA. Thank you for your patience.”
I haven’t been able to use OpenVPN since last night, and the number of servers in the country is decreasing. Now there are only 11 servers left in 5 countries. I’ve been trying to switch between StealthVPN and Wireguard, but not all servers are working. It’s a matter of luck to connect to a working one. I often switch between European and Asian countries. Finally, Wireguard on my phone is working, and I’m currently using StealthVPN in the UK on my computer. Hope this helps everyone.
Been using another VPN called 789加速器. Pretty cheap and it works! Good while Astrill is down and even if you feel like switching up. I recommend using it until things get back to normal.
Open barely works at all from here, but it’s different per device.
I was going to try another one but I already bought a 2 year plan , and Stealthmode has been working although OpenVPN with smart mode on is super convenient
