Can't login for weeks - error 429 too many requests

For almost a month I’ve been unable to log in to my Nord account. I keep getting a 429 error, too many attempts in a short period of time, both on windows and Android, on both wifi and mobile networks. Over this month, Nord support has put me through a long list of troubleshooting actions:

Reset app in windows

Refresh browser cache

Change default browser

Change DNS server to 1.1.1.1

Change DNS server to Nord’s

Reinstalled both windows and Android apps from Nord’s own addresses

Change DNS server to 1.1.1.1 (again!!?)

They also requested that I “reset network settings” on both windows and Android, but I have been afraid to carry this out as it comes with seemingly onerous warnings of deleting Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings. If I did reset network settings as they request, what will I have to do as a consequence? Would it actually help my situation?

Also, this all kicked off very shortly after I “updated my payment details” as per their request, and set up multi factor authentication at the same time. I’m wondering if this is somehow connected?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If Nord’s support team has suggested resetting network settings, it might be worth considering, as it could potentially resolve any network-related issues that might be causing the problem you’re facing ATM. Before doing so, make sure to backup any important network-related information such as Wi-Fi passwords, ect. While resetting network settings may require you to reconfigure some settings, it could potentially resolve the login issue.
