I know the Dream Machine Pro can use NordVPN, but it’s overkill for my needs and a bit out of my budget. The Dream Router looks perfect but…can it use NordVPN? Via an OpenVPN config file is fine, I’m technically proficient.
Also, if the Dream Router can use NordVPN, anyone know where I can buy one? UniFi is sold out and Amazon wants $300 for one (as opposed to $200 on UniFi(dot)com)). Thank in advance, all!

Yes, definitely, I do exactly this. It’s extraordinarily easy to set up. I have a number of IOT devices going through a NordVPN Wi-Fi network and I also have my guest network routed through the VPN as well so that anyone that goes onto my Wi-Fi is being concealed.
Yes but from my experience the speeds were horrendous almost like the UDR was incapable. As when testing my connection via NordVPN client on any other device connected to the UDR speeds were vastly improved. I also had the same experience on my UDM SE so not sure if it’s the implementation or the devices themselves.
Awesome, thanks! I am fairly certain the only hard requirement is support for OpenVPN, but it’s nice to be sure.
Interesting, thanks for the info.
Just FYI… EdgeOS is completely different than UnifiOS. Nothing from that link will work on any of the “Unifi Dream ____” products.
Thanks, yes, I realized that after posting the link.
