Hi all, my ISP has recently blocked a streaming service I use so I think it’s time to get a VPN.
I thought it best to ask the people of Perth who they think is the best service?
I mainly want to access blocked sites.
Update: Signed up with with cyber ghost. Now I need to learn how to change countries on Netflix.
I use an Xbox one for entertainment and have no idea how to switch regions.
Proton. Most secure.
Should be able to get around it by using a different DNS like cloud flare or Google dns.
I’ve been using ExpressVPN for years and been very happy with it. Minimal loss in speed when turned on, and it gets around geoblocking for streaming sites like Netflix.
Surfshark. Got it insanely cheap on Cyber Monday and there are heaps of countries available to connect to and reviews were good.
Ghost VPN, it’s reasonably priced and any VPN that is free means you are the product

Mullvad, Perth server is very fast.
NordVPN has served me well when i need a VPN
Mullvad, Nord, PIA, ExpressVPN — anyone that doesn’t keep logs.
Im using Nord at the moment, great UI and dead simple for others in the family to use as well. Never use any free ones out there.
Speed wise, it will always suffer a little bit but thats the price ya pay.
If you’re not out to do dodgy shite, its cheap to rent a vps monthly and run your own openvpn server if you’re that way inclined.
Private Internet Access been using them for years. Very nice interface. Not too pricey and excellent technical support.
Hospot shield free version is the best free vpn. Although it restricts the bandwidth to 2mbps
IPVanish has been great. Tiny price and I’ve had zero issues with it.
NordVPN. Although I found with my tv if I run it through the vpn, it flashed up a screen saying dns service detected and will not work. iPad is ok though.

Great service and can’t fault them at all, I think its a Swiss VPN provider. Plenty of nodes all over the world including several in Australia and a couple in Perth.
But as with every-fucking-thing on the internet, you’re always using someone else’s computer, so there’s that to keep in mind, no matter who you end up using.

if you download or stream a lot then go with expressvpn. Its the only one I’ve found that doesn’t limit downloads, no hard limits and no throttling
