Are vpns necessary for Apollo and other iptvs?

Is it absolutely necessary? What are the potential problems if I don’t have one? I’ve really just been too lazy to get one.
Do I need one on every stick??

I always use a vpn when using IPTV. Think of it like this: why would you want your ISP to see that you’re streaming an illegal streaming service?

I’m not sure about other countries but here in the UK our ISPs definitely block or throttle connections to known and unknown streaming services (IPTV links), so the use of a vpn has pretty much become the norm.

Please use a VPN as a resolution to any buffering/freezing that you may experience.
Internet service providers are throttling and slowing down connections to our servers which leads to buffering and freezing issues you’re experiencing. This isn’t something that can be fixed from our end and can happen at anytime even if it worked perfectly for you without a VPN in the past. You can rest assured that it is our mission to provide you with the best service available and we continuously keep our servers in tip top shape to ensure all our customers receive only the best.

The script above was taken from apollo tv Web site…
I installed surfshark (my first vpn ever) last week on my chromecast with google tv hd Dongle and my speed test shows a x3 increase from 30 mbps to over 90mbps! I paid £58 (England) for 28 months, the ad blocker feature has been brilliant and I can use stremio with peace of mind!

I’m in Canada, have apollo, no VPN. I share a subscription with 4 others. Cheap tv

90% of the time a vpn is not required. I’m in Canada also and never use a VPN with the IPTV service I use. I dropped Apollo a long time ago though, there’s much better out there.

I use apollo, have a VPN that is on all the time. The other day, I turned it off and forgot to reset it. Had buffering issues. I had no idea why, as I forgot, i had taken the VPN off. Once I remembered, I set it back up, and the buffering stopped instantly!!

So I would have one, I’m in Australia by the way.

It really depends in your internet providers as some throttle or block iptv.

I have a question, I am new to IPTV I have Apollo TV live in the United States. I was having terrible buffering & freezing issues got the nord vpn & it stopped but I noticed it works so much better when my VPN is set to Latvia. Why is that? And is it ok to set my auto connect to Latvia instead of the United States since I’m always changing to that country? Sweden seems to work good too but not the United States. Just a little confused about it & trying to learn as much as I can & Reddit has the best advice.

Running 2 subscriptions

Can I use A free vpn or do I need to pay for the service to get it to work? Major buffering issues only with Apollo no issues with Amazon prime tv ty

Did bit coin. Used shakepay. A little learning curve

Apollo are absolutely dreadful. I wouldn’t use them for free.

You can use multiple connections on one sub?

hey bro, im also im canada and thinking about using apollo.

i was wondering with your “4 others” are they all different households and different IP addresses? on their site it says 5 devices but only 2 households are allowed.

i was told it 5 different households by 1 friend but im not so sure anymore after reading the site’s FAQ

I would like to know too!

What do you use now?

What do you use aside from Apollo?

Ohh I dm’d you if you don’t mind

What’s the best service you use?

I am in Australia and completely new to this whole VPN thing let alone IPTV, but have heard great things about ApolloTV so have started looking in to it.
Would you happen to know where I can get instructions to set this up? I have a firestick but don’t know where to go from there with setting up VPN and setting up ApolloTV.
Appreciate your help.
