Anyone using Torguard VPN with Plex?

wondering if anyone using Torguard VPN with Plex?

Been trying to route the plex.tv IPs around the VPN but haven’t been able to get it to work yet.

Use VMs. Put stuff you want behind the VPN and Plex on a VM without a VPN.

I had this same issue and just kinda gave up on it. I’ll look here for a solution

My roomate uses plex with purevpn (which is basically my account but he requested a few months back) and it is doing pretty well for him!

Just set the torrent client to use a proxy such as privateinternetaccess and skip the VPN?

Curious… Why would you want it to go over the VPN? It’s already encrypted.

Yeah, I’m on Windows 10. I’ve been trying for about 6 months now and I can’t figure it out.

Cause he’s using it to torrent and doesn’t want to get caught, but the new external IP associated with his machine is messing with plex. So he’s looking for 1) A work around the VPN with plex or 2) A way to see plex through the VPN.

I do the same as above, use the proxy with qBittorrent and no VPN. The proxy service is cheaper as well.
