i’ve been using Ultrasurf and hide . me for a long time for all of a sudden, if i connect to hide me, then i can never connect to a page. IT’s like the net goes out. And as for ultrasurf, it loses connections so often that hardly a single page loads. im wondering if this has anything to do with the shitty government of the place where i live.
You have to be careful with free VPNs. Some of them are P2P which means other people’s traffic is being routed through your network. Others sell your data or restrict access to things like torrents. I can however recommend proton vpn if you just want a free extension and don’t plan on torrenting.
free isnt really worth it when it comes to VPNs. they’re selling your data somewhere; who’s to say they won’t sell it to your ISP one day. just get mullvad; it’s 5 bucks man.
You can use proton or windscribe. I wouldn’t recommend using a free VPN, but if you are still going with a free VPN these two are good.
I don’t see any recommendation for Tor browser?
Free VPNs make you the product.
Ah, my primary use for vpn is for torrenting… i’d give it a go, thank you.
My currency is not dollar. That is the entire basis of my problem. My currency is quite high when converted to dollars and so 5 bucks is a lot in my case. But thank you for the suggestion, nonetheless.
I second the suggestion for Mullvad! It’s awesome and hella cheap. Plus my connection rarely slows while connected.
Do not torrent without a system-wide vpn. A Firefox extension does NOT make you safe to torrent. You need a system-wide VPN. Proton VPN does NOT allow torrents.
it has 2.1 out 5 reviews on brave/chrome extensions. why do you recommend?
what part do you think is wrong?
