100% off NordVPN, good return value?

I saw that NordVPN is 100% off at Rakuten. I’m kinda in a dilemma if it’s actually at 100% off value if we choose the discount return method to be Amex points.
Say, if I’m spending $100, and I get 10k points, are there really going to be places where I can get that rate by using 10k Amex points (airlines, restaurants, gift cards, etc)?

Depends on how you redeem points. Basically this is buying points for 1 CPP. Most people only redeem for 2 CPP or higher in which case it’s a great value. What exactly you can get for 10k MSR points varies but many domestic economy flights are within that range

I’m a new customer and when I went to the website it showed $83 without add ons for a 2 year plan .

Does this mean I get $83 back ??

I almost pulled the trigger on the ultimate plan and decided to google the past deals. Well apparently this excludes Nordpass (as stated in Rakuten) and Nordpass is included already in the Plus plan! You have to do some clicking on the plans because they don’t outright label it as such. Kinda sneaky. So I’m just going with the basic plan.

I’m not sure about cashback in $ but Amex points should be 8300 as cashback. To answer your question, $83 should be getting back to you

I Ike the way your brain works, it’s pretty. I usually just research something to death and then it’s no longer an option or available because I guess distraction is my practical super power. But at least I’m usually having fun distracting myself from the distraction of the distraction from befor and so on but I’m happy and I always have something to do lol
